Samara Farm is our home.
Miles is an artist, permaculturist, fermenter, machinist turned CNC programmer, and beet evangelist with over 20 years in the organic food industry.
Emily is a former farmer, garden educator, non-profit program director turned UX designer/researcher, who mostly wants to hang out with dogs, and enjoys filing taxes.

A FAMILY LEGACY
Miles' family have been orchardists in the Okanagan Valley for almost 100 years until a string of bad years led them to lose their orchard in the late 90s.
You can find Miles' grandfather's old cider press at the farm, along with plenty of stories of growing up on an orchard.

Engineering-driven design studio and manufacturing facility in Seattle, WA. They designed and helped build our amazing treehouses.
HILDEGARD FERMENTS AND BOTANICALS
Microbrewery and apothecary workshop in Seattle, WA. These talented folks brewed a "Samara Farm" beer using maple water and spruce tips from the property, have have created a variety of herbal medicines using spruce sap, nettles, and poplar buds from the farm.
